Building a Modern Platform that Celebrates Idaho’s Vibrant Hispanic Community
The Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs (ICHA) has unveiled its newly redesigned website, icha.idaho.gov, marking a major step forward in accessibility, design, and community engagement. The launch coincides with ICHA’s introduction of new branding, reflecting a fresh, unified visual identity for the organization. Together, these updates signal a new era for ICHA’s digital and public presence, strengthening its ability to connect with communities across Idaho.
The Challenge
The previous ICHA website was outdated, difficult to navigate, and didn’t reflect the energy or diversity of the community it represented. With stale content and an antiquated, non-responsive design, it wasn’t equipped to serve the growing needs of Idaho’s Hispanic population—or to showcase the Commission’s impact across the state.
The Insight
The Hispanic population is the fastest-growing demographic group in Idaho. This growth underscores not only a need for representation, but for accessible, engaging, and data-informed communication that connects communities and celebrates cultural contributions. The website needed to be more than a digital brochure, it had to become a living, breathing platform for connection, resources, and pride.
Our Approach
We partnered closely with the ICHA team to bring their mission and vision to life online. The Commission’s mission, to build positive relations, effective partnerships, and strategic initiatives, guided every design and content decision. Our goal: create a modern, beautiful, and easy-to-manage website that reflects the richness and dynamism of Idaho’s Hispanic community.
Key Highlights
- Collaborative Design Process: We worked hand-in-hand with ICHA staff to ensure the site reflects their priorities and the community’s values.
- Modern Design & Usability: The new site offers a clean, responsive design that’s intuitive for visitors and simple for staff to maintain and update.
- Data-Driven Storytelling: We built space to highlight important data and statistics, helping communicate the economic, cultural, and social impact of Idaho’s Hispanic population.
- Cultural Imagery: The site features vibrant Latin American imagery from across the world—reflecting the diversity and depth of Hispanic heritage that shapes Idaho’s identity.
The Impact
The new ICHA website is now a dynamic hub for connection, advocacy, and celebration. It empowers staff with tools to share data, stories, and events that matter most to Idaho’s Hispanic community—while inviting all Idahoans to engage, learn, and participate.
Why It Matters
Hispanics are an integral part of the United States, contributing to its cultural richness, economic vitality, political diversity, and social cohesion. This project wasn’t just about a redesign—it was about building digital infrastructure that honors those contributions and ensures representation for generations to come.
